Janu Tokyo
The first iteration of Aman’s baby brother brand is not merely a “luxury lite” version of its older sibling—it’s a high-end experience unto itself, with its own distinct personality.
The location is a novel one: within the Azabudai Hills skyscraper complex, a new mixed-use multi-purpose development just to the east of Roppongi Hills. Here the location is perhaps more important than in an Aman proper; luxurious though it is, Janu Tokyo is less a self-contained urban resort and more the sort of hotel that engages directly with its setting.
With 122 rooms and suites, space is generous, light is abundant, and design is intentional. Clean lines meet soft textures, and floor-to-ceiling windows invite the city in—without ever letting it overwhelm.
Dining here is also an experience. Eight restaurants and bars create a culinary journey that spans continents, from Janu Mercato, inspired by the seasonality of the quintessential Italian market, to Janu Grill, celebrating the simple pleasure of cooking with flame, Sumi, a modern take on sumibiyaki, and Hu Jing, with its modern reimagining of Cantonese cooking.
