Anabuki-tei
Anabuki-tei was originally built in 1970 as the residence of Natsuji Anabuki, the founder of one of Japan’s leading construction companies.
This two-story villa with its castle tower became one of Japan’s most intimate retreats in 2022 — welcoming just one group per day.
Anabukitei prides itself on providing an experience focused on relaxation. Inspired by the Scandinavian concept of hygge, often described as a feeling of coziness, the residence hopes its guests will travel here to decompress.
Five bedrooms in quiet, neutral tones showcase Kagawa artwork and Isamu Noguchi lighting, while a second-floor library invites slow afternoons.
The estate also features, a Japanese garden, an open-air bath, and a sauna.
Dining is optional yet unmissable — You can enjoy a culinary experience where top chefs from Kagawa, specializing in Japanese, Italian, and French cuisine, prepare meals right in front of your eyes, using a wide variety of fresh local ingredients to bring out the best in each dish.
